Our Story

Abstrakt Lifestyle was founded in West Virginiaby John Arthur in the spring of 2023. His son Ayden was a sophomore in high school at the time, and had a passion for unique apparel. They decided that they would spend that summer forming a business together. The initial experience gave Ayden a great introduction on how to register a business, creating a business plan, branding, website development, online marketing, graphic design, collaborating, social media presence, and content creation. They chose the domain name Abstrakt.VIP. This was for a few reasons. One, John has been an abstract painter for over two decades and they wanted to incorporate the openness to someone’s unique creation,  and the enjoyment it can give to others. The misspelling of the word abstract was intentional to show that we are all imperfect in our own beautiful way. The VIP was included to uplift everyone and remind them each day that they are a Very Important Person. The company slogan is “Live Abstrakt.” This is a message to encourage everyone to live everyday to the fullest and to be your own unique self. John has led as the graphic designer for Abstrakt’s creations, and Ayden has been an incredible collaborator. The thing they both enjoy most about Abstrakt, is how their creations put a smile on other’s faces and provide simple enjoyment in other’s lives. 

In the summer of 2025 Abstrakt is rolling out a new “Campus Life” theme for over 30+ college campuses! Each of those colleges will have their own IG page where a “Campus Ambassador” will share their campus life with the world each semester. The purpose of each page is to highlight student life, campus experiences, and to promote local businesses on each campus to form an even better community!
